Men's Basketball Player of the WeekMatt Karpowicz, Williams

Karpowicz averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 61.5 percent from the floor as the Ephs defeated Bates and Tufts. Against Bates, he scored 10 of his team-high 16 points in the second half as the Ephs pulled away in the final three minutes. He finished the game with 16 points, seven rebounds, and four assists while shooting 75 percent from the floor. On Senior Day, Karpowicz posted a double-double, scoring a team-high 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting and collecting 10 rebounds. He scored 13 of his 19  points in the second half on 5-for-8 shooting and converted all three free throws as the Ephs pulled off the 71-66 upset. In the final 3:28 of the game, he scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds.

Meghan Graff, Bates Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Graff poured in a team-record 45 points on Friday in an 84-81 overtime loss to Williams. Graff shot 13-for-26 from the field, 6-for-10 from 3-point range and 13-for-14 from the foul line, and added five steals, four rebounds, and three assists. On Saturday, Graff handed out a career-high eight assists and scored 18 points with four rebounds in Bates’ 71-67 overtime win over Middlebury. She averaged 31.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 16-for-17 from the charity stripe for the week.

Mac Carso, Williams Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week

First-year Mac Carso (Chicago, Ill.) scored two goals and added one assist as the Ephs swept Middlebury, 3-2 and 5-3. His overtime goal at the 2:44 mark of the extra session gave the Ephs a 3-2 win on Friday. On Saturday, he scored once and assisted the game-winning goal 51 seconds into the third period. Carso has six goals and two assists for 18 points this season.

Madie Leidt, Middlebury Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week

Madie Leidt, Middlebury
Junior • Forward • Killingworth, Conn.

Leidt scored three goals and had three assists as Middlebury swept a pair of games from Williams, 4-0 and 3-1, to clinch the top seed for the upcoming NESCAC Championship. She factored in all four scores on Saturday with a goal and three assists, while scoring twice in Sunday’s victory.
