The Jumbos fell into an 0-2 hole to Hope and could not recover, as they went on to suffer a 3-1 setback that ended their season. The Jumbos also became the first team from New England to win a set in an NCAA quarterfinal match since 2004.</description>

      <description>UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Tufts University volleyball team's historic 2009 season came to an end on Thursday afternoon when the Jumbos lost 3-1 to Hope College in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship at John Carroll University. Down 2-0 after dropping the first two sets 25-17 and 25-23, the Jumbos battled back and won the third set 31-29. However, the Flying Dutch won the fourth set 25-15 to take the match.</description>

Feiger is the only NESCAC Player to earn All-America honors this season. With Feiger at the helm of the offense, the Jumbos will participate in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals this Thursday at John Carroll University for the first time ever.</description>

Tufts played an almost mistake free match and emerged with victories of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-23. Coach Cora Thompson's Jumbos move on to the NCAA Championship Quarterfinals for the first time in school history. The Jumbos will travel to the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center in University Heights, Ohio for the finals which start Thursday (Nov. 19). They will play Hope College, the Midwest champion.</description>

Scioscia's defensive play helped the Ephs win the 2009 NESCAC Volleyball Championship this past weekend at Tufts, the third consecutive title for Williams and seventh this decade. Over three matches last week, Scioscia averaged 6.5 digs per set with a total of 65 digs. Against Tufts for the conference title on Sunday, Scioscia had 18 digs, an assist, and a service ace in the 3-0 victory.</description>
