HADLEY, Mass. - Wesleyan senior Lisa Drennan (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has been selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as a member of the Academic All-America Second Team, it was announced on Tuesday. Drennan was the only individual this fall from the NESCAC to be chosen as an Academic All-American.

Drennan came away as the NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Year for the second time in her career after earning the honor as a sophomore in 2006. Drennan, a two-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, led the conference in kills per set for the third year in a row, averaging 4.70 as she recorded 484 for the season. During her tenure with the Cardinals, Drennan amassed 1,865 kills to rank second all-time at Wesleyan and posted a career average of 4.92 kills per set. In addition to her prolific kill numbers, Drennan was also second among all players in hitting percentage (.315) and contributed 2.56 digs per set for the Cardinals.

Drennan completed her career by receiving All-Conference recognition for the fourth year in a row as she garnered First Team accolades for the third-straight fall. A psychology major at Wesleyan with a 3.70 grade point average, Drennan also received CoSIDA Academic All-America District I team accolades along with being named to the AVCA All-America Second Team, the only NESCAC player to garner AVCA All-America recognition.
