Browne and McCooey of Tufts Claim Women's ITA Small College Doubles Championship
MOBILE, Ala. - Junior tri-captain Julia Browne (Old Brookville, N.Y.) and senior tri-captain Meghan McCooey (Cumberland, R.I.) of the Tufts University women's tennis team won their second straight Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Small College National Championship in doubles on Friday afternoon at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center. The Tufts pair were 7-5, 6-3 winners over The College of New Jersey's (TCNJ) Jackie Shtemberg and Felice Trinh in the finals.

Nine Women's Tennis Players Recognized by ITA as All-America
HADLEY, Mass. - Nine NESCAC women's tennis players claimed Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-America honors on Monday. Five individuals were honored for singles play, while three doubles teams garnered All-America recognition.

Williams Wins Second-Straight NCAA Women's Tennis Title
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - For the second straight year and the fourth time in school history, Williams College won the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships. The Ephs entered the Championships with only two losses on the season, both to Amherst, but won the critical Championship match today to post back-to-back women’s tennis titles for the second time in school history. The Ephs also won consecutive titles in 2001 and 2002.

Amherst Downs Chicago 5-4 in NCAA Women's Tennis Semifinals
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Amherst College women’s tennis team earned a 5-4 victory over the University of Chicago Wednesday afternoon in the NCAA Championship Semifinals at the Collins Hill Athletic Club in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The Lord Jeffs will take on rival Williams College Thursday at 1 p.m. for the national title.

Williams Blanks Emory 5-0 to Reach NCAA Women's Tennis Final
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – After going the distance to defeat Denison University 5-4 on Monday, Alison Swain's Williams College women's tennis team blanked Emory University 5-0 to advance to the NCAA championship match Thursday afternoon at 1:00 PM. The Ephs will face the winner of Wednesday's second semifinal – Amherst vs. Chicago - in their quest to repeat as NCAA champions. Williams was the first women's team to repeat when they won in 2001 and 2002.
