MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Williams and Amherst will meet for the 2008 NESCAC Women’s Tennis Championship after each team earned semifinal wins today in Middlebury. The Ephs cruised to a 9-0 win over Bowdoin in the early match this morning, claiming straight set wins in five of six singles contests after sweeping doubles play. Amherst led 2-1 after doubles play and won four of six singles matches to pick up a 6-3 win over Tufts in the other semifinal match-up. The championship match will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday in Middlebury.
