Kohn, Manager for Middlebury Lacrosse Programs, Passes Away at 77
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Beloved lacrosse manager and longtime Middlebury College friend, Myron G. Peter Kohn, 77, passed away on Aug. 5 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. The lacrosse legend was unable to recover from a heart attack he suffered on a fishing trip near his home in Cape May, N.J., on Aug. 1.

Twelve Individuals Selected by IWLCA as All-America
HADLEY, Mass. - Twelve NESCAC student-athletes were selected by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as All-America on Wednesday, May 27. Of the 12 individuals chosen, four individuals - Williams senior Elizabeth Burns, Middlebury senior Taryn Petrelli, Colby senior Kate Sheridan, and Trinity sophomore Rachel Romanowsky - came away with First Team honors.

HADLEY, Mass. - All four NESCAC teams in action last week during the 2009 NCAA Womens Lacrosse Tournament saw their seasons come to a close. Middlebury, Tufts and Williams all earned first round victories on Wednesday but fell in regional action over the weekend, while 2009 NESCAC Womens Lacrosse Champion Colby was ousted in the regionals by conference rival Middlebury.

Hamilton Edges Middlebury 13-9 in NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament
WATERVILLE, Maine - The Hamilton College womens lacrosse team is heading back to Virginia to defend its NCAA Division III Tournament title after a 13-9 win over Middlebury College in a regional final at Colby Colleges Bill Alfond Field on Sunday. Hamilton (16-2), the defending NCAA champs, will return to Salem, Virginia, and play an 8 p.m. semifinal game next Saturday at Donald J. Kerr Stadium. Middlebury ends its season at 11-6.

Tufts Comes Up Short to Franklin & Marshall in NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament
LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's defense clamped down in the second half, limiting Tufts' high-octane offense to three goals in the second half of a 12-7 win in the NCAA Regional Final. Jen Pritchard broke the NCAA Tournament career scoring record with a five-goal performance to spearhead the Diplomats' (19-1) assault.
