Lora Trenkle, Bowdoin
(Senior, Guard - Surry, Maine)
Bowdoin senior captain Lora Trenkle led the Polar Bears to their
fourth straight NESCAC Championship, a 51-47 overtime victory
against Bates. Trenkle scored a game-high 21 points in Saturday's
semifinal win against Williams before posting 11 points, nine
rebounds and five assists in the Championship final, including a
pair of clinching free-throws with less than five seconds remaining
in overtime.

Maggie Miller, Williams
(Freshman, Forward - Wellesley, Mass.)
Maggie Miller shot 50% from the field scoring 20 points and adding
5 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in a 73-52 win at Tufts in the
NESCAC quarterfinals. As a freshman, Miller leads all scorers in
the conference averaging 15.9 points per game.

Betsy Hochadel, Bates
(Junior, Forward - Portland, Maine)
Hochadel led Bates to a 3-0 week, averaging 18 points and 7.5
rebounds per game in two NESCAC wins while hitting 66% of her
attempts from the floor. The junior recorded her second career
double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in an 85-73 overtime
win at Williams on Friday, then scored 19 points on 8-for-11
shooting in a win over Middlebury to clinch a tie for second in the
final NESCAC standings.
Hannah Stubbs, Wesleyan
(Sophomore, Forward - Arlington, Va.)
In two conference victories over Trinity and Amherst, Stubbs
averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 59% from the
field including a 20-point, 9-for-11 effort against Trinity. On the
week, the sophomore averaged 17 points and 7.7 rebounds in three
wins.
February 9, 2004
Olivia Zurek, Bates
(Junior, Forward - Arlington, Mass.)
Zurek averaged 17.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.0 steals to lead
Bates to a split with Colby and Bowdoin over the weekend. The
junior forward scored 18 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and added five
assists and five steals in a 77-60 win over Colby on Friday night.
She added 17 points, seven rebounds and seven steals in a 56-46
loss to top-ranked Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon.

Colleen Hession, Williams
(Sophomore, Guard - Northampton, Mass.)
Hession averaged 21.3 points in three games for Williams last week.
In wins over Wesleyan and Colby, Hession had 19 points in each
contest, including four three-pointers in each game. In an overtime
loss to top-ranked Bowdoin, Colleen led all scorers with 26 points,
including five three-pointers and five steals. On the week, the
sophomore shot better than fifty percent from the field including
56.5% (13-23) from three-point range.

Lora Trenkle, Bowdoin
(Senior, Guard - Surry, Maine)
Bowdoin's preseason All-American Lora Trenkle scored a season-high
22 points as second-ranked Bowdoin defeated 22nd-ranked Wesleyan on
Saturday, 55-43. Against Bates on Tuesday, Trenkle scored 10 points
in the final four minutes to lift the Polar Bears to a 58-43 win.
Overall, the senior co-captain averaged 13.7 points last week as
Bowdoin extended Division III's longest home winning streak to 36
games.

Allison Love, Tufts
(Junior, Forward - Duxbury, Mass.)
Love averaged 16.0 points on 52.5 percent shooting (21/40) in three
games, and hit the winning scoop-shot at the buzzer as Tufts
knocked off previously undefeated Wesleyan 47-46 in Middletown on
Saturday. Love had 25 points (11-for-17) on Tuesday when the Jumbos
beat Emmanuel by 25, 91-66. Over the weekend she had 11 points and
six rebounds in the win at Connecticut College and added 12 points
and six rebounds at 18th-ranked Wesleyan.

Olivia Zurek, Bates
(Junior, Forward - Arlington, Mass.)
Zurek led Bates to a 3-0 week, averaging 16.3 points per game while
hitting 75% (21-for-28) of her shots from the field. Zurek led the
team with 21 points against Wellesley, and also finished the week
with a team-high 12 steals. She has scored in double figures in six
consecutive games for the Bobcats.
December 15, 2003
Casey Thran, Connecticut College
(Freshman, Forward - Dalton, Pa.)
Connecticut College freshman forward Casey Thran averaged 20
points, 15.5 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block en
route to her second and third consecutive double doubles for the
Camels. Thran had a game-high 19 points, 17 rebounds and four
assists in a win against Bay Path Monday evening. Wednesday night,
Thran netted 21 points with 14 rebounds at Albertus Magnus College,
finishing the week with a 57% (17-for-30) field goal percentage.
December 8, 2003
Allison Love, Tufts
(Junior, Forward - Duxbury, Mass.)
Love averaged 18.0 points on 61.5 percent shooting in wins over
Babson and Gordon. The junior added 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and
2.0 assists per contest for the week. In a 91-58 win over Gordon on
Thursday, Love hit 11 of 15 shots and scored 24 points.
Hannah Stubbs,
Wesleyan
(Sophomore, Forward - Arlington, Va.)
Stubbs was named the MVP of the Cole Farms Classic at St. Joe's
(Me.) as Wesleyan beat the home team in the opener and Bates in the
finals. The sophomore had 20 points and nine rebounds while
shooting 10-for-15 from the field in the championship game. During
the two games, Stubbs averaged 18.5 points shooting 53% from the
floor with 7.5 rebounds a 2.5 steals per game. In an 80-35 defeat
of Elms, Stubbs collected six points, six rebounds and three
assists in 11 minutes.

Maggie Miller, Williams
(Freshman, Forward - Wellesley, Mass.)
Miller averaged 21.5 points and 11 rebounds per game to lead
Williams to two victories and a perfect 4-0 start. The rookie
scored 23 points and pulled down 15 rebounds with four blocked
shots in a 70-56 defeat of previously unbeaten Keene State. Miller
added 20 points in a six-point defeat of Union.
November 24, 2003
Sarah Kelly, Colby
(Sophomore, Guard - Portsmouth, N.H.)
Kelly averaged 19 points, five assists, shot 64 percent from the
field and 91 percent from the foul line in leading the Mules to the
Colby Tip-Off Tourney title. The sophomore guard had a
collegiate-high 25 points on 10-for-11 field goal shooting in a win
over Newbury. She also had 13 points and seven assists in a victory
over Husson.
