Connecticut College's Tang Honored as Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar
NEW LONDON, Conn. - Connecticut College senior Emma Tang of Rochester, N.Y. has been honored as an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education Magazine. Tang was named to the First Team of the Track & Field squad.

Hamilton's Kosgei Selected as Division III Track Athlete of the Year
CLINTON, N.Y. - Hamilton sophomore Peter Kosgei (Kapsabet, Kenya) has been selected the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Kosgei finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III outdoor track and field championships held at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh's J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on May 23 and 24.

Brooks Chosen as Williams Track & Field Head Coach
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Fletcher Brooks is returning to Williams College to assume the head coach of the men's and women's track & field programs. Brooks spent seven years at Williams (1998-2005) as the Ephs' strength and conditioning coach, an assistant and then associate head coach of men's and women's track & field, before taking the job of head coach of women's track & field and women's cross country at MIT in 2005.

Hamilton Men Place 11th, Tufts Women Finish 17th at NCAA Track & Field Championships
OSHKOSH, Wis. - Hamilton College was the top NESCAC team on the men's side, placing in a two-way tie for 11th with 20 points, while Tufts was the top women's team with 17 points to finish 17th at the 2008 NCAA Track & Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oskosh.

Hamilton Men Sixth, Colby Women Fourth After Day Two at NCAA Track & Field Championships
OSHKOSH, Wis. - Hamilton College is in a six-way tie for sixth among men's teams, while Colby College sits in fourth on the women's side, just seven points out of first, after day two at the 2008 NCAA Track & Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oskosh.
