Trinity Wins 2007 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship

HARTFORD, Conn. - Senior co-captain Sahil Vora (Mumbai, India) did not surrender a point, winning 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 in the No. 4 position to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 victory over the Williams College Ephs and capture the 2007 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship. Trinity extends the longest winning streak in intercollegiate sports to 160 consecutive matches and is 16-0 this season.
In their final home match of their career, seniors Shaun Johnstone (Harare, Zimbabwe), Eduardo Pereira (Jundiai, Brazil),Eric Wadhwa (Wappinger Falls, N.Y.), Thomas Wolfe (New York, N.Y.), and Vora all won 3-0. Freshman Baset Chaudry (Lahore, Pakistan) won 9-1, 9-2, 9-1 in the No. 3 position for the Bantams.
In the third-place match, the Bates College Bobcats defeated the Amherst College Lord Jeffs by a score of 6-3.
