      <description>HADLEY, Mass. - Junior goaltender Wesley Vesprini (Lexington, Mass.) of Trinity came away as the NESCAC Player of the Week for Nov. 23, 2009. Vesprini stopped 61 of 63 shots faced (.968) as he helped the Bantams pick up two road victories to start the season in NESCAC play. On Friday at Hamilton, Vesprini made 27 saves while allowing two goals in a 6-2 win for Trinity. Saturday afternoon at defending NESCAC champ Amherst, Vesprini turned aside 34 shots, including 15 in the first period, for a 2-0 shutout victory over the Lord Jeffs.</description>

Watson Arena, dedicated January 18, 2009, has become the first newly constructed ice arena in the United States to earn coveted LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The USGBC certified the ice arena's LEED status July 16, 2009. LEED is a voluntary, consensus-based rating system for high-performance sustainable buildings that provides a measurable standard for building owners and occupants.</description>

The 6-0, 205-pound native of Hanover, Mass., helped the Lord Jeffs to a 22-5-1 record, best in school history, and the NESCAC championship. The Amherst season ended last weekend with a 2-1 overtime loss to Hobart College in the NCAA Quarterfinals.</description>

La Rose backstopped the Lord Jeffs to a 3-0 victory on Friday evening over defending conference champion Trinity in the semifinals of the 2009 NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Championship. La Rose made a total of 44 saves in the win, 24 alone coming in the third period, as he posted his third shutout of the season.</description>
