Ben Rudin, Middlebury
(Senior, Guard - Scarsdale, N.Y.)
Rudin averaged 24.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as he led the Panthers to the 2009 NESCAC Men’s Basketball Championship, the first title in program history for Middlebury. During Saturday’s 76-46 win over Bowdoin, Rudin scored a career-high 30 points. He followed on Sunday with 18 points and nine rebounds in a 77-68 victory against Amherst, setting a tournament record for total points with 77.

Alex Rubin, Williams
(Junior, Guard - Chevy Chase, Md.)
Rubin came off the bench on Saturday against Bates and poured in a season-high 20 points over 24 minutes of action as Williams earned an 87-78 win. Rubin made 6-of-7 shots, including going 2-for-3 from beyond the arc, and also was perfect from the line on his six free throw attempts. He also contributed two rebounds in the victory. Rubin is averaging 6.5 points per game through 24 appearances this year.

Luke MacDougall, Trinity
(Sophomore, Forward - Baldwinsville, N.Y.)
MacDougall averaged 21.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game during a 2-1 week for the defending NESCAC Men’s Basketball Champions in the final week of the regular season. Tuesday evening at Clark, MacDougall led Trinity in scoring with 20 points and six boards in an 86-75 victory. He followed on Friday evening with a game- and career-high 30 points along with six rebounds in a 78-76 double-overtime setback to Middlebury. MacDougall closed the week with 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists in an 83-73 win over Williams on Saturday. For the week, MacDougall shot .629 from the field (22-for-35), .583 from three-point range (7-for-12) and .737 from the foul line (14-for-19).

Rudin led his team to a pair of victories - improving the Panthers’ program-best winning streak to 16 games - by averaging 26. 0 points and 3.5 assists per game on 13-of-25 shooting (.520) and 23-of-28 (.821) from the foul line. Friday evening Rudin led all scorers with 25 points in a 62-50 win over Bowdoin before putting on a repeat performance Saturday in a 78-73 decision against Colby with a game-high 27 points and seven assists. Middlebury has now won a school-record 20 games and boasts a 10-0 record at home this season.

Artie Cutrone, Colby
(Senior, Guard - Garden City, N.Y.)
Cutrone averaged 26.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive .619 from the floor (13-for-21) and .774 percent from the foul line (24-for-31) in a 1-1 week for the Mules. On Friday in a 68-59 setback to Trinity, Cutrone had a game-high 21 points along with six assists. He followed on Saturday with a career-best 32 points and five rebounds during an 81-76 decision over Amherst. Cutrone broke a 53-year old school record for free throw attempts in a half (14-for-18) against Amherst, as he went 19-for-24 from the foul line in the win.

Adam Choice, Colby
(Junior, Forward - Newport, R.I.)
Choice averaged 21.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists while hitting .571 percent of his shots (16-for-28) during a 2-0 road weekend for the Mules. In Friday’s 85-75 win at Tufts, Choice had a game-high 25 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists. He closed the week on Saturday at Bates with 17 points and four rebounds in a 65-59 victory. Choice, who surpassed 900 career points over the weekend, is fifth in the conference in scoring, averaging 15.4 points per game.

Adam Choice, Colby
(Junior, Forward - Newport, R.I.)
Choice averaged 19.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game during a 2-0 week for the Mules, which included a 65-55 NESCAC victory over Bowdoin on Saturday to give head coach Dick Whitmore his 600th career win. On Thursday against Rhode Island Col., Choice scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half to bring Colby back from a 34-26 halftime deficit for a 66-61 victory. He followed with 13 points in Saturday’s decision over Bowdoin. For the week, Choice shot .517 from the floor (15-for-29) and .556 from beyond the arc (5-for-9).

Rudin averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game with a 6.0 assist-to-turnover ratio over a 2-0 NESCAC weekend for the Panthers. Friday night against Bates, Rudin scored a career-high 28 points while grabbing six rebounds in a 73-65 overtime win. Saturday afternoon against Tufts, Rudin had 12 points and a career-best 14 assists while only playing in 24 minutes as the Panthers posted a 108-64 victory. Rudin finished the week shooting an even .500 from the field (15-for-30) and .800 from the line (8-for-10).

Shavar Bernier, Connecticut College
(Junior, Guard - Dover, N.H.)
Bernier led the Camels to a pair of victories over Hamilton (69-50) and Johnson & Wales (77-69) last week, averaging 21.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. On the week, Bernier was 16-for-24 (.667) from the floor with three assists and three steals, scoring 24 points against Hamilton and 18 against Johnson & Wales. Bernier continued to have the hot hand from beyond the arc, going 8-for-12 (.667) in the two contests as he has hit 21 of his last 30 attempts from three-point range (.700). He is third in the conference in three-pointers made per game (2.75) and three-point field goal percentage (.516).
   
Jeremy Kaminer, Wesleyan
(Junior, Guard - Cherry Hill, N.J.)
During a 1-1 week for the Cardinals, Kaminer led his team in scoring with 26.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game as he played in all but 16 seconds over the two outings. Against previously-undefeated Amherst on Tuesday, Kaminer collected a career-high 23 points as he hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer from 30 feet out for a 72-69 Wesleyan win. On Thursday against Albertus Magnus, Kaminer broke his career-best mark from earlier in the week by pouring in 29 points in an 85-83 setback. Kaminer went 19-for-34 (.559) from the floor and 7-for-14 from three (.500), adding in nine assists.

Demetrius Porter, Connecticut College
(Freshman, Forward - Virginia Beach, Va.)
Porter averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game to earn All-Tournament Team honors at the Washington & Lee Classic over the weekend, as the Camels went 1-1. Porter poured in a season-high 18 points along with eight rebounds during Friday’s 64-57 win over Skidmore. On Saturday in a 60-52 setback to host Washington & Lee, Porter earned his first collegiate double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. He shot an even .500 from the floor (13-for-26) over the weekend.

Kevin Snyder, Williams
(Senior, Guard - Littleton, Colo.)
Snyder poured in a game-high 27 points during a 92-55 Eph win over New Paltz St. on Tuesday evening. Snyder went 10-for-17 from the floor (.588) and 6-for-9 from beyond the arc (.667) in the victory. Snyder also grabbed four rebounds and dished out five assists while playing 26 minutes during the contest.

Brian Baskauskas, Amherst
(Senior, Forward - Palo Alto, Calif.)
Baskauskas averaged 21.0 points on 69.4-percent shooting (25-for-36) along with 5.0 rebounds per game during a 3-0 week for the Lord Jeffs. Baskauskas also went 6-for-9 from three-point range (.667) and was 7-for-9 from the free throw line, recording four steals over the three outings. During Saturday’s 90-59 win at Westfield St., Baskauskas poured in a career-high 30 points on 12-of-15 shooting, as he was named MVP of the Pioneer Valley Classic.

Brian Ford, Trinity
(Sophomore, Guard - Bronx, N.Y.)
Ford averaged 21.5 points per game while going 15-for-20 from the floor (.750) and 8-for-11 from behind the arc (.727) during a 1-1 week for the Bantams. On Tuesday against Eastern Conn. St., Ford had a team-high 16 points in a 75-72 setback. He poured in a game-high 27 points, including 18 in the second half, during Sunday’s 72-71 win at previously-unbeaten Babson. Ford hit two clutch free throws with four seconds remaining in the victory over Babson, as he went 5-for-6 from the line on the week (.833).

Jon Pierce, Tufts
(Junior, Forward - Belmont, Mass.)
Pierce averaged 27.7 points and 10.3 rebounds during a 2-1 week for the Jumbos, shooting an impressive .583 from the floor (28-for-48). During Tuesday’s home-opener against Babson, Pierce poured in 40 points in a 90-88 overtime loss. Over the weekend at the Roger Williams Tournament, Pierce had a double-double in both Tufts wins, including 22 points and 16 boards in championship game, as he was named Tournament MVP. The 40-point performance tied for eighth-most ever at Tufts and was the most by an individual since 1996.

Kevin Snyder, Williams
(Senior, Guard - Littleton, Colo.)
Snyder had a game-high 24 points to help lead Williams past Keene St. 81-70 on Saturday. Snyder went 6-for-9 from the floor and 10-for-15 from the foul line while grabbing five rebounds, collecting four assists, and one steal while only turning the ball over twice in 37 minutes of action.
