      <title>Football All-Conference Teams Announced</title>

      <description>HADLEY, Mass. - Middlebury junior QB Donald McKillop (Poway, Calif.) and Amherst senior LB Mike Taylor (Evanston, Ill.) have been selected by the conference coaches as the 2009 NESCAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively. McKillop is the first Panther player to receive top offensive honors since running back Bryan Sanchez in 2000, while Taylor becomes the first member of the Lord Jeffs to garner defensive recognition since lineman Pat McGee in 2001.</description>

      <description>HADLEY, Mass. - Middlebury junior QB Donald McKillop (Poway, Calif.) was selected as Offensive Player of the Week, while Hamilton junior DL Burke St. John (Chappaqua, N.Y.) earned Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 15, 2009. Special Teams Player of the Week went to Trinity sophomore kicker Tim Costello. McKillop overcame heavy rains and sloppy field conditions at Tufts to throw for 336 yards and three touchdowns on 24-for-38 passing (.632) for a 158.22 rating in a 26-7 win for the Panthers. St. John led a Continentals defense that held Bates to eight first downs and 58 yards of total offense in a 24-14 come-from-behind victory.</description>

      <title>Amherst Wins 2009 Football Championship with Perfect 8-0 Record</title>

      <description>WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Amherst College football team earned the 2009 NESCAC Football title with a 26-21 win over rival Williams College Saturday afternoon at Weston Field. The Lord Jeffs wrapped up the third 8-0 season in program history, while the Ephs finished the season at 6-2. The NESCAC title is the first outright crown for Amherst, after the Jeffs tied with Colby and Middlebury in 2000.</description>

      <description>HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity junior WR Michael Galligan (Shoreham, N.Y.) earned Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Colby senior DT Peter Scheve (Baltimore, Md.) garnered Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 25, 2009. Williams senior P/DB Will Cronin (Acton, Mass.) was named Special Teams Player of the Week. Galligan caught eight passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-31 shootout victory for Trinity over Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. Scheve recorded five tackles (three solo), two sacks - one of which resulted in a safety - and recovered a fumble in the Mules' 16-0 road victory at Hamilton.</description>

Senior PK Scott Sobolewski (Clifton Park, N.J.) of Williams came away with Special Teams Player of the Week.Lupo scored three rushing touchdowns as he carried the ball 37 times for 136 yards (3.7 yards per carry) in the Ephs' 37-27 victory at Middlebury on Saturday, while Sobolewski was perfect on all three of his field goal attempts and all four PAT attempts.</description>

      <description>HADLEY, Mass. - Junior QB Alex Vetras (Clyde Hill, Wash.) of Amherst nabbed Offensive Player of the Week, while rookie teammate Sam Clark (Andover, Mass.) earned Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 11, 2009. Tufts sophomore PK Adam Auerbach (Glen Rock, N.J.) was named Special Teams Player of the Week. Vetras and Clark helped the Lord Jeffs to a 20-10 win over Middlebury and a 3-0 start to the season for the first time since 2004. Auerbach kicked a 37-yard field goal with 27 seconds remaining in the game to force overtime, then booted a 35-yard field goal in the extra sesson to give the Jumbos a 25-22 win over Bowdoin.</description>

      <description>CLINTON, N.Y. - A second anonymous donor has recently stepped forward with a million-dollar gift to Hamilton College, this time to replace the natural grass at Steuben Field with an artificial grass surface. The college's Board of Trustees approved moving ahead with the project once all funding is secured. The complete cost of the upgrade is projected to be $1,350,000, with the balance of the funds contributed by Hamilton alumni, primarily former members of the football and lacrosse teams, and parents of current student-athletes.</description>

McGrath will be honored by the New England Football Writers Association at their annual banquet on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Casa Di Fior in Wilmington, Mass.  He is the first Bantam football player to be so honored since former NFL quarterback Joe Shield in 1984.</description>

      <description>HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity seniors Eric McGrath (Lynn, Mass.) and Tyler Berry (East Lyme, Conn.) have been named the 2008 NESCAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, as determined by the conference coaches. McGrath is the first Bantam to earn Offensive honors since Tom Pierandi did so in 2003, while Berry is the third Trinity player in the past five years to claim the conference's Defensive award. The duo helped the Bantams to their 11th perfect season in program history along with their fifth league title in the past seven seasons.</description>
