HARTFORD, Conn. - The 2008 NCAA Champion Trinity College baseball team, which reached unprecedented heights that season with a record-breaking, won-loss mark of 45-1, a NESCAC title, an NCAA Regional Championship crown, and the first NCAA National Team Championship title in College history in any sport, has been included in an exhibit of excellence in amateur baseball at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
June 22, 2009 Former Wesleyan Baseball Member Dominguez Signs with Boston Red Sox Organization
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Former Wesleyan SS/P Drew Dominguez '09 became the first Cardinal baseball player to sign a contract with a Major League Baseball team in 44 years after signing with the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, June 16. Dominguez was offered a contract as a non-drafted free agent on Thursday, June 11, and after accepting was assigned to the Lowell Spinners, a Single-A short season minor league affiliate based in Lowell, Mass. in the New York-Penn League.
June 12, 2009 Former Trinity Baseball Players Bayer, Killeen Join Boston Red Sox Organization
HARTFORD, Conn. - The Boston Red Sox selected Trinity College senior RHP Jeremiah Bayer (Greenfield, Mass.) in the 30th round of Major League Baseball's Amateur Draft, and Bantam senior catcher Sean Killeen (Greenfield, Mass.) signed a free agent contract with the Red Sox shortly after the conclusion of the draft.

HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity College fell short in its quest to repeat as the national champions during the 2009 NCAA Baseball Championship over the weekend in Grand Chute, Wis. The Bantams lost to 2007 champ Kean on Friday, May 22 by an 8-5 score, then were eliminated by Carthage 10-1 on Saturday.
GRAND CHUTE, Wis. Junior RHP Jordan Jaehne-Llanas allowed seven hits, five walks, and an unearned run with nine strikeouts in eight-plus innings, and senior 1B John Lequia totaled five RBI, including a grand slam to lead the Carthage College Red Men to a 10-1 win over the defending NCAA Champion Trinity College Bantams in an elimination game of the NCAA Baseball Championship Saturday afternoon at Fox Cities Stadium. Trinity closes its season at 33-7, bowing out in the Division III World Series in two games for the third time.
